Ok, this has happened to me many times now in the battlegrounds! Well, not so much with Coffin, but with my alts Hedwig and Bigbad, there’d be like 1 or 2 of them running around. Heck, even on the other team too! Always found it pretty amusing though. Hmm… except for Hedwig, cause they always assumed it was because of some bird. It’s a musical pplz! >)

I have seen avatars that look just like mine which is kinda interesting. I have seen people with alterations of my name around, like Nivehya, Niveya, (it is supposed to follow Spanish pronunciation rules in case this isn’t apparent.) It mildly annoys me because the name has some real world importance to me, even if I use it as my Internet alias. To be honest, I am kinda smug that the last time I checked the armory for Nivella’s, I was the most relevant.
However apparently I have have a dead twin brother. I’ve had my name for the last 4+ years and in the last half of wrath there was this highly geared and raiding Draenei death knight who as far as I could see, came out of nowhere. His name is/was Niv. He prolly switched mains for cata cause I haven’t seen him chatting in trade lately.

ha! I’m almost never the top one… heck, the armory didn’t even say coffinshaker existed last time I checked! of course I had a mini heart attack that someone logged my keys and had to check… all was fine… not sure what that was about though…
I had to vote “never ever” event though I have a tad more “normal” naming scheme for my toons than SgtPooPants (I do actually try to make up a somewhat normal sounding name) - I did an armory search a while back, and even though my names aren’t unique, non of the other servers in the same battlegroup have a character with the same name in the same level bracket :3
Ya know, the thing I find weird are when I play other games with like 1 server and my stranger names are taken. like Saltybill!? what other weirdo decided to make a guy named that? seriously!

well, if you remember from our discussion back in the day when the daylight saving time changed… I guess it would be bad to group with an alternate time version of your self cause if you follow Time Cop rules, if you give yourself a high 5, you’ll implode or something.
I’m a healer, what do I care? xD Though if people start melting on my watch.. ok, that’d be dumb. Also according to Pratchett’s sleeve theory that would mean I’m in a different instance or phased out. On the other hand.. ok, brain starts to hurt.. enough for today…
My main is the only toon with his name worldwide so, thankfully, I have never had to go through the pain of killing my own doppelganger. I think, if the situation arose, I would just break down and cry; I couldn’t kill him! We’d have to be bros or something!
it’s a strange thing when you find them… especially in pvp and on the other team. think I did end up killing my double though. there can be only one! mwahahahahaha!
I only found a doppleganger in the armory. Apparently it’s from Frostmourne, got more achievements than me and is a raider.

Never bumped into a doppelganger in the battlegrounds.. But I don’t PvP much really :] And there’s only one exact namesake for my main, which is probably due to the silly accent I had to add (HAD TO!) when switching servers and accentless version was taken :P Without an accent there’s a few dozen more.
Oh, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch? Yay! Awesome flick =)

Hasn’t happened yet, partly because I don’t PvP much, and partly because my mains and more-played alts don’t have terribly common names. (IIRC, none of my alts with commonly-used names (>50 servers) have been in a battleground yet.) Also, with my mains and alts that have actually been in a battleground, almost all of their doppelgangers are in different level brackets and/or in different battlegroups.
oddly enough I tend to run into my evil twins in Alteric Valley at endgame. not sure why that is… great minds think alike? sigh… yeah… not buying it either… XD
All my toon names have been one of a kind so far, minus Kleeyo, who only has 2-3 others with the same name (according to armory), none of which were anywhere near high level.
Of course I haven’t checked in a while.

I don’t have any doppelgangers. Alixstar is the only EU character with that name! Which surprises me, considering that it’s not a very unique kind of name. However, I do know that there’s a level 11 dwarf hunter on the US servers with my name. DIEEEEE!
Just checked actually. There’s a dwarf warrior and gnome warlock with my name now. :(
