Yes well, I had this in my sketchbook and I figured I might as well post it the same week as my other one. >)
Um… didn’t have a crazy intellectually stimulating topic for today… but let me say this about GS cookies! I love them, but why oh why do they have to sell them outside of grocery stores in like 90 degree heat? Makes all my Samoas stick together which makes me a sad sad cookie monster… >(
Ok… next week will be things of a bit more substance, lol! Well, unless you want more super random friday pin-ups! >D
BTW, here’s a link to the Girl Scout Cookie Page for references… I never remember the Samoa name, just what it looks like.
Ok no offence i love your comics and art systle but…………
I dont like where this is headed
lol, no worries… just a random pin up… doesn’t happen too often here.
Anyone who says anything other then Thin Mint is a filthy savage. When you put in your order the Girl Scouts roll their eyes and snicker behind your back. Pre-teen girls will laugh at your life decisions.
Kidding, actually most of them are pretty good, but I’m not as big on cookies or sweets as most people, but I do love mint.
haven’t had any come to the door in years… maybe people are too creepy now a days, idk. but for the most part, at the super markets it’s usually the moms you end up buying from. kids these days with their adhd…
bah, samoas is where it’s at! though a good thin mint is a beautiful thing too! pretty close one I’d wager.

……Wookie Cooookiesssss…….
<3<3<3
It sounds sooo delicious! (Although, i hope there aren't any 'Wookie' flavored cookies)
lol, yeah I hope it wouldn’t contain any wookies… it’d probably taste like wet dog. XP
my guess is they’d be oatmeal with that sugary glaze on top.
dangit! this whole thing makes me want cookies now!
i bet it taste like chewbaccka
guess it should have a lot of caramel and nugget… ya know… so it’s chewy!
buddum chh!
Girl Scouts are eviiiiil. Do not want.
lol, they are indeed!
As long as it isnt Jango Fett under that helmet, she is more than welcome to take it off.
I wanted to comment on your previous strip but I couldnt log in on gravatar from another computer. :(
I havent seen a lot of the episodes of the new star wars cartoon, but I can see, from the few episodes Ihave seen, that it has been made for younger audiences:
For example, captain Tarkin ( who would later become grand moff Tarkin and torture Leia on board the death star on A New Hope), acts all cocky and arrogant in one of the episodes, despite supposedly being a good republic officer, as if trying to tell the espectators “Hey kids! This guy will become a bad guy! Dont like him!!”
And how did Anakin get an aprentice despite not being a jedi master?
Also, clones seem to have a lot less free will, according to the movies, ( though they get a lot of personality and face time in the cartoon). Also, in battlefront 2 just before the mission in which you have to destroy the jedi temple, the narrator, who is a retired clone soldier, says: “Did we have any doubts? Any thoughts of treason? Pherhaps, but no one said a word. Not when we were given our orders. Not when we were transported off our posts. And not when we disembarqued at the gates of the tempke. Not a word.” So I dont know how much they can behave as normal people, though, yeah I think killing andusing them as tools, both clones and sapient robots, is morally reprehensible.
Lol, I am a total star wars geek.
hmm, it’s kinda hard to say what audience it’s for… the topics and action are really for a much more mature audience, though a lot of it seems like it’s been toned down as to not hit the pg13 rating. I think they boarder a fine line. though it was funny when talking about the Duchess and Obiwan as being “good friends” and kept saying it… and we all knew what they were meaning… wink wink.
but ya know, for it to be on cartoon network it’s gotta make a few concessions here and there. my biggest issue is with continuity, which fell through a few times in season 3 where dead people are alive again and other such temporal antics. short of the Doctor coming in, I guess someone in their writing staff had fallen asleep.
it is however, a pretty solid series. and I’m starting to get into the whole lore now. (truth be told, I was more of a trekie before swtor)
as for the droids, they do seem a bit more animated than in the movies, but if we are to go off either, their personalities are remarkably similar to that of a sentient being. there may be some internal issues like programming overriding personal beliefs that kind of effect things, but still, changing a program can really be like brainwashing… just different methods.
still, I keep saying… even though we’re talking about fictional stuff right now, the technology to do such things is advancing at a magnificent rate. and once we get stuff like quantum computing, the processing power of our computers will skyrocket and dealing with things like sentient AI will be something that we will have to face. I for one think it’s worth ironing out now, before we even get to that point. it would be much better to be like “welcome to the family droid brothers” than have to go through a few robot rebellions before us meat sacks finally get the point.
hell, I would even bet that right now we’ve got scientists in various countries working on that whole “super soldier” thing with the enhanced genetics… not much of a stretch from the clone army huh?
And thats why atomic bombs and biological weapons are much cheaper and effective than any kind of robot, or genetically engineered super soldier.
So much for me being a good person.
Oh, on an unrelated note, merry Easter to one an all!
Tagalongs and Lemonades <3
and as a former girl scout ( and cookie lover) may I suggest putting them in a freezer for a few hours? Make em stick together less
psh… I just ate the giant mutant frankencookie! mmmm!
