Looks like a fun game, even though it takes place during the medieval period… Ok ok, not exactly medieval, but apparently the name is for the inner core of Coruscant. The cool thing is that you get to play a bounty hunter, which I find to be a neat direction with the franchise, since everything else seems to revolve around lightsabers. Still, they really need to make an Imperial Agent based game!
Speaking of… if you like the Star Wars series or similar scifi stuff, check out the Space Janitors series on the Escapist! Kind of a fun little series about the unsung heroes of the outer space lands.
great! I prefer blasters over lightsabers anyway!
darn tootin! that and jet packs + flame throwers would be a nice change of pace…
This is exactly why I think they should either remake or make a sequel to Star Wars: Republic Commando. That game was sooooooo amazing.
I rather love the feel of all those weapons at the same time! But, yeah, bring Republic Commando 2! I wanna know what happenned with poor old Seven!!
hmm… never see that one! but it looks pretty cool from the screens!
It looks interesting, even not being a Star Wars fan but in times of easy games, I may just rent it and see if it’s better then The Force Unleashed.
gamefly ftw?
Well being a PS3 exclusive player (Until I get a better PC and fix the Xbox), it’s really hard finding a game that I haven’t finished, played and hated, or looks interesting enough to play. I think the last thing that wasn’t a franchise game I bought was Alice Madness Returns and even though a good game, still very short (With only about 12 levels, only taking about an hour on Normal)
awe man, haven’t tried Alice Madness… I played the first and LOVED the heck out of it! but I’d be horrified if it’s only an hour long game. that’s like Rainbow6 all over again! especially if you pay big bucks for it!
Should of said An Hour a level. Damn my tiredness. But Alice Madness, I got for about $20 from EB Games (Australia’s Gamestop) and came with the first one as a free download. I think the best part about it would be how gothic it looks now (It’s like playing in a Zelda cross Tim Burton world). Oh and all of Alice’s new dresses.
After Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2 …. I tend to look for the quality and not the name.
As for SW…they is so much potential wasted by bad milking tactics…. So yea, I will be looking for quality and not the name.
As for this game, again controlling a Bounty Hunter with a shooter setting can be interesting. I really liked the BH story in SWTOR as it felt like I wasn’t really bound to any ” Good or Evil” side and it was my own way. If this game can deliver the fun aspect of shooters and it is long enough ( not like the jokingly short previous titles. ) I will give it a shot.
Lets hope they won’t milk it for a full price when it turns out another half-game.
lol… yeah, I love the idea of DA series, but man, I couldn’t make it through DA2.
there’s a chart floating around somewhere that show’s the breakdown of Lucas Arts’ income sources and movies and games barely make more than a quarter of that. the rest, like around 70%ish (if I remember right) is purely merch sales.
you know, I did like the BH story too! kind of weird how they meshed up with the empire, but they seem pretty neutral except when it comes to credits. gameplay wise, the few seconds they’ve shown looks pretty darn good so it might be something worth picking up.
lol… well, it’s NOT being made by EA so chances are they have a fighting chance. XD
Damn god how much I yearn for space simulator…
From new republic Era preferably…during nearly victorious campaings of Grand Admiral Thrawn, during Dark Epire era for Reborn Palpatine, fighting with Gill Pellaeon during his gradual retreat from Core to what is now Imperial Remnat… with New Republic and later Galactic federation of free Alliances against Vong an Killiks…
Suppose I just miss Grand Admirals Thrawn and Pellaeon.
Yeah, when I first read of the Yuuzahn’ vong ,(is that how it’s written?) I inmedeately thought: Make a game out of this thing!!
I like what you are thinking. :D
I guess they have some in those Battlefront games, but a pure space shooter would be darn nice.
HAHAHAHA!! This is exactly what I thought the first time I read the name of that game!
I really, really, really like how you have gotten on the old medieval parchments’ style! I think it was the main thing that made me laugh about this one!
And since you reccommended A webcomic, I’ll recommend two:
http://www.legendofbill.com
http://www.pinkertonpark.com
Believe me, both really cool reads!
hehe, yeah I had to look back through some art history pics to get the right feel.
was going to bring up an interesting argument with it though… because I remember art history and they talked about times “before perspective” or “before anatomy” and it kind of seems odd to me. nobody has to teach me about perspective for me to get how it works… just look down a road or a river or something. and anatomy… there’s loads of people around, doesn’t take too long to get the gist of it. so I wonder, is most of the styles we see through art history just that, stylized, or did they struggle with the logistics of correct composition? personally, I’m thinking the former, though I’m sure many art history buffs will angrily disagree.
ty for the links! read some Bill a while back, but the pinkerton looks cool too!
