Wanna hear something really sad? Lately my local classic rock station has occasionally been playing Pearl Jam and songs off Metallica’s Black Album. :\
Yeah, that’s not how it works. Classical isn’t defined by how old it is. It’s a muscal style like jazz or rock. You could sit down, write a piece in Mozart style and it would be called classical.
This reminds me of about a year ago, when me and siblings went with my mother to a museum conserning children and schools and my mother found so many familiar things that she said: “Buaah, my chilhood is in a museum.”
awwwwe! yeah, happens to the best of us! it’s like what this next generation will think when their ipads and twitters are collecting dust on some museum shelf. a sad day for us all.
Along the same lines, my father told me the other day that he won’t watch the travel channels new show toy hunters, because of all the toys he had that he doesn’t want to know how much they are worth now. Bet he feels the same way about the eight track stereo we sold at a yard sale years ago. Assuming that any of you even know what an eight track cassette even is, or have ever heard one.

lol! man, my classics station with pink floyd and stuff turned into a talk radio 24/7…
and my all 80s and 90s station turned into a top 40s pop station… because we need more than 5 pop stations…
and lord knows where my techno station went to… >(

The best excuse I can come up with is that a legitimate classical CD got put in the wrong shelf and the girl was pleasantly surprised.
